Limitless Living Blog #99 - Excuse?

Excuse?
I was at the gym today and saw a man walk in. I didn’t think anything of it. As he started walking to the weights, I noticed he was still wearing his khakis. I was looking and thinking to myself, “Is he not going to change into sweatpants or something?” I was so confused. In his khakis and his dress shoes still on, he started working harder than most in the gym. So I’m thankful because he gave me my blog post today. My name is Scotty and welcome to the 99th blog post here on the Limitless Living Blog. Thanks for tuning in.
This man can work out in his khakis. I have no idea if he forgot his sweatspants, but guess what? He’s still working out. He still came in and gave it 100%. Meanwhile, you are waiting for the perfect opportunity for you to start something. For you to start that business that’s been on your heart for years. For you to start working out, but don’t because you’re tired. For you to work harder for your family. For you to start loving yourself. Khaki man, as I will call him, apparently isn’t waiting for the perfect opportunity to work out. I’m assuming he had to tell himself, “there’s no excuse. Get to the gym.”
As a society, as Christians, as men and women, we, including myself, have to stop waiting for “perfect opportunities”. Sometimes, they aren’t coming. Actually majority of the time they aren't coming. I’m still young, but I’ve lived long enough to understand and see that. Yet I fall for the “let’s wait on the right opportunity” excuse. Let’s just get up and start. Yeah, it’s not perfect, but it’s a start. Starting is better then no progress, or worse, regression.
