Limitless Living Blog #93 - Trust the Process

Trust the Process

Ah, the old saying. Trust the process. Patience, endurance, and stamina. Three things I personally lack. If you’re anything like me, you want things right this second, as soon as you see it. God has/is working on my patience consistently. Do I like it at times? Absolutely not. I’m very impatient. If I see a car I want, a house I want, a watch I want, I need it immediately. I’ve gotten better over the years, but it’s a battle. My name is Scotty and welcome to the 93rd blog post here on the Limitless Living Blog. Thanks for tuning in.

Not to be negative, but I know there’s other humans with this same struggle as myself. Impatient and no time to wait. The crazy thing is this. If you get what you want, when you want, and you’re not patient about it, the object or thing you wanted the entire time becomes less important once you have it. If that makes sense. I’m not trying to go too deep, but I’ll give a practical example. I was about 21 years old and I “had to have” a Camaro. I just wanted a Chevy Camaro so bad. I researched and examined all Camaros in about a 100 mile radius. As a broke college student, for some crazy reason, I wanted that sports car. I finally was able to find one that I could “afford”. So I got the Camaro and off the college I went. At first, I loved it, and was over thrilled. About a month or two in, that hype started to dwindle. Apart of it was probably that payment! 3-5 months in, it was the same car as any other car. What is the point of this entire story? Just trust the process and don’t rush into purchases. I made a terrible rash decision because I wanted a sports car. I still have that car to this day, and I can’t even take my family in it, because it’s a two door car with no room. So we’re going to trade it in. The car I so desperately needed just years ago, we want to trade it in for a family car. Haste decisions are always geared toward a negative impulse purchase. Learn from my mistake and trust the process. Don’t rush into things or ideas, but trust one day you’ll be way better then you were. And trust one day, you’ll be in a better financial situation then you currently are, with faith, stamina, endurance, discipline and hard work.
