Limitless Living Blog #8 - Take your Craft Seriously

Take your Craft Seriously

Your craft or your gift can propel you in so many ways, we can’t even comprehend all of it. To be able to take what God has given us and allow it to make room for us, is one of life’s special blessings. My name is Scotty and this is the eighth blog post here on the Limitless Living Blog. Thanks for tuning in.

What is your gift? I can’t answer that for you. That’s between you and the Creator. Typically, whatever you’re naturally good at, I’d say is your gift or at least part of your gift. I’ve struggled with this question many times myself, but I started looking at what I am good at. That answered a-lot of my questions. But the Word has Scriptures on your gift and what you find yourself doing.

“Whatever you do, do well. For when you go to the grave, there will be no work or planning or knowledge or wisdom.”
‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭9‬:‭10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭23‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“Do you see any truly competent workers? They will serve kings rather than working for ordinary people.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭22‬:‭29‬ ‭NLT‬‬

These are just a few Scriptures that explain you need to take your work serious. When you take your gift serious, it opens up doors for yourself. Rather you use your gift for your career or not, it can allow you to operate in your natural self. It’s who you were created to be. This is where life becomes limitless. Limitless living. Your gift is that powerful. You were made for more than paying bills and to live in average. Do you honestly know how much money is in each of us if we were living in our potential? It’s not all about money, but I feel led to say this. We worship average rather than phenomenal. Why? We were fearfully and wonderfully made. Take that to heart and quit being average. Quit settling for just paying bills. Do you realize you are your own bank account? You are your own check. The Word tells us we are lenders and not borrowers, yet we walk as if we’re borrowers. I even fall into this mindset myself. I forget I’m a lender. When I forget, I walk with a certain level of fear and doubt. When I walk as if I’m a lender, I walk with a certain level of confidence and minimal fear.

Process

  1. Figure out what your gift/gifts are. If you’re confused, don’t worry! Go to God and ask Him. Not only pray, but do some self analysis and think about what you’re naturally good at.
  2. Once you find out what your gift/gifts are, take them serious. Work hard at them. Take individual time to craft them and mold them.
  3. Give God all glory for all work that you do!
