Coffee
The magic drink. Everyone loves this drink called coffee. Sometimes we sip in the mornings, or evenings. However and whenever you drink it, we love it. Starbucks, Dunkin' Doughnuts, and at home with your Keurig. It doesn’t matter, we all need it. Now, whatever gives you energy outside of coffee, act as if it’s a necessity too, just as much as coffee. My name is Scotty and welcome to the 65th blog post here on the Limitless Living Blog. Thanks for tuning in.
What do I mean? When you have coffee on your mind and your brain keeps signaling you to get some caffeine, you don’t hesitate. You do whatever it takes to get some coffee/energy drink. You’ll use your break at work, you’ll spend tens of dollars a day, it does not matter. When your body says, “I need it”, we get it. Why can’t we do the same for our other energy sources? For example, when I find myself consistently going to the gym, I feel physically and mentally better. However, I don’t stress the gym to myself as much as I do my coffee in the morning. And if I don’t have time to make coffee in the morning and I’m rushing out the door, I stop to get some type of caffeine on the way to work. Every single day. I have never gone to work without some caffeine in my body. Yet we don't act the same in our marriage. Your marriage should create positive energy. Your business should create positive energy. But we stress over Dunkin' Doughnuts more than our marriage. More than taking care of our bodies and going to the gym daily. More than making sure our finances are in order. Is coffee bad? Absolutely not, I’m a huge fan of it. But can we not put the same energy into our goals? These energy sources: marriage, goals and dreams, physical health, our hobbies, our friendships, should all be sought after as much as we do anything else. I see everyone drinking coffee, yet rarely having a great conversation about how to help one another. It’s the craziest thing. We just want to let time pass while we remain the same, no growth. But we will stress out over coffee. Coffee. All I'm saying is, make sure you put some energy into your other energy sources. At least match the energy you have for coffee.
