Limitless Living Blog #63 - Wealth isn’t Evil

Wealth isn’t Evil

Wealth, to some, is evil. The Bible clearly says the love of money is the root of all evil. Wealth is simply a tool. You can either use it for good or for evil. Yes, if you love money, that's bad. However, using wealth to create, expand, and further cultivate good motives is amazing. My name is Scotty and welcome to the 63rd blog post here on the Limitless Living Blog. Thanks for tuning in.

As mentioned, I hear both sides constantly. I hear some think of wealth as a terrible, evil, greedy thing. Others chase it and welcome it freely. My opinion from a lot of research is simply, your heart. Wealth is, as previously mentioned, just a tool. A lot of money can do a lot of good and a lot of bad. For example, I cannot pay off someone's house for them (a family member or whoever) without a certain level of wealth. It takes money. Don’t fool yourself. Wealth pays. What do I mean? Another example is simply this; if you're going to eat healthy from the grocery store, you will indeed pay for it. Same with having good insurance. You cannot achieve these things through hocus pocus. It takes money. To give a certain level of inheritance to your children’s children will take a certain level of wealth. It’s common sense. Yet as Christians, we just say “pray about it.” Or “have faith in God.” And we should! But to pay your car note, you need income. Then you need to spend that income to pay your bank loan. That’s not going to get paid through you just sitting doing nothing. All in all, let's stop acting like money isn't important in this world. It is very important. But let's also stop acting like money is our god, which it shouldn't even come close to being. Check your heart posture with your finances and make sure it lines up with the Word.
