Works are Needed for Faith
Faith without works is dead. This is what the Bible tells us. I have prayed many times without faith. How? Because I didn't put work behind my prayer. Sometimes, I haven't tried at all. So I'm praying, begging God for something, yet putting no effort in on my side. This faith is dead. My name is Scotty and welcome to the 61st blog post here on the Limitless Living Blog. Thanks for tuning in.
All I'm trying to say is this; if you're not going to put work behind your faith, why are you praying? I’ll give this example. You can't expect God to remove your diabetes while you’re eating junk food daily. You can't expect God to move in your life financially if you just keep getting further into debt on stuff you don't need. You can’t expect God to move in your marriage, but you both aren't praying, reading, or studying how to better your marriage. You cannot expect God to forgive you, when you haven't forgiven others. Do you see my point? I get so frustrated at myself, and others, when I see us praying and not putting any work behind it. At least give God something to work with. Let Him know you're serious about your breakthrough. We’re just sitting there waiting for God to drop a million dollars in our lap, without us putting in any work for that. Are we serious? It’s so crazy, yet we’re mad at God when He doesn't. Don't blame Him for your laziness.
I'm not saying we’re perfect, but let Him know that you're willing to work. That you’re willing to believe. That you will go anywhere and everywhere for Him.
