Limitless Living Blog #58 - Not a Perfectionist

Not a Perfectionist

I have met people who are “perfectionists”. Meaning they need everything absolutely perfect, and if it’s not, they have to fix it. If they can't fix it, they're very upset. I've also met people who are the exact opposite. They don't care if it's perfect or imperfect. That’s a standard. Being a perfectionist is a standard. I'm not saying either is right or wrong, but they're standards. My name is Scotty and welcome to the 58th blog post here on the Limitless Living Blog. Thanks for tuning in.

Just because someone sets a certain standard does not make them “perfectionists”. If near perfection is their standard, that's just their standard. So you cannot be upset if you hang out with someone with that standard, expect that standard. For example: when I go to my mother’s house, she is a clean freak. If a pillow is out of order, she fixes it. A chair, the counters, it doesn't matter. I know that going into her house. So I can't be upset if I don't pick up after my mess and she’s upset. It’s her house, her standard. We need to set high expectations for ourselves and set a standard. Figure out what your standard is, and follow it. Let others know your standard so they can respect that. In your friendships, relationships, business, etc. We need to have a high standard to perform excellence. We were made in excellence, perform like it.
