Going All In
There's something about going all in. In my beginning research of successful people in their fields, the most successful “go all in”. I never fully understood it, until recently. When you decide to go all in, it does change things. It changes your perspective, your outlook, and you become journey-oriented, not just destination-oriented. We all know the saying that goes; “It’s about the journey, not the destination.” My name is Scotty and this is the 46th blog post here on the Limitless Living Blog. Thanks for tuning in.
I am a firm believer, you can do anything you put your mind to. It does require going all in. This concept is somewhat insane, but it works. Going all in means being obsessed with whatever you're trying to achieve. A goal, a certain weight on the scale, a blissful marriage. Going all in means research, action, and a certain mindset. Without these things, your goal will not happen. As I mentioned, I've studied some people, and they had a moment in life, where they decided to go all in. I've heard this happen more than once. Rather a professional athlete, or a business owner, trying to escape the rat race of the 9-5. It required them to sacrifice time, money, and energy, but it paid off. So in my mind, I have multiple goals that are going to require me to go all in. There's no way around it. I'm going to drive myself crazy if I choose not to go all in, and not achieve my goals. To achieve big things, you must do big things. I've just come to learn that. I've thought to myself, “Am I insane for trying to achieve these monumental things?” The answer is yes and no. You have to be a little crazy and overinvolved to achieve certain things. “Going all in.” So don't forget that your goals and dreams require a phase of your life where you're going all in. And yes, welcome to achieving goals and dreams. You're doing okay, and I'm reminding you. The reason is that it will feel weird going all in. You will not feel normal, but quite the opposite. I feel like this somewhat consistently. But feeling normal wasn't my goal. My goal is my goal, and there's no option. Honestly, if you feel like you're going against the grain, you might be doing the right thing.
