Limitless Living Blog #43 - You’re Delusional

You’re Delusional

I’m noticing that there are times in life when our only problem is that we’re delusional. Delusion is defined as: “characterized by or holding false beliefs or judgments about external reality that are held despite incontrovertible evidence to the contrary.”

Why am I saying this? My name is Scotty and welcome to the 43rd blog post here on the Limitless Living Blog. Thanks for tuning in.

Delusion creeps in when we believe a false reality. You're not dealing with reality, you're delusional. The reality is, your marriage may be terrible, your finances may be falling apart, or even your physical health. For example, I wasn't dealing with the reality that I am addicted to sugary things. (candy etc.) I kept pushing it off until I could physically see a difference in my body. By this point, I've skipped over reality and I'm now in a delusional state, hiding the fact that my diet sucks. This false reality allowed me to continue being addicted to sugar, while also not feeling bad about it. Reality tells me my family struggles with diabetes, I'm gaining weight, and I'm looking fat. Reality is a fact. It’s like mathematics. In math, when you solve for X, you will get the answer to X. X cannot change. In English or Science, you can alter certain things, but in math, the answer is the answer. That's why I love math. That's why we need to love reality, because it tells us the truth. Men lie, women lie, but numbers don't. Reality does not.
