Which Class Mentally?

”Who you hang around, is who you’ll be.” A common yet effective term to describe your friend groups, spouse, whoever you’re around regularly. I’ve heard this too; “take the average net worth of your friends. Thats what your net worth is.” I’ve been around people who are in poverty mindset, and I’ve been around people with a wealth mindset. Neither of them are better than the other as far as their character. But there are distinct differences in how they move about everyday life. Typically, the wealthy I’ve been around, wakes up early and starts their day before the sun gets up. On top of that, they’re laser focused on their tasks, with minimal excuses. It seems these Individuals have a certain work ethic that propels them into financial success. On the other hand, those who are stuck in poverty, and I mean mentally not financially. I see them kind of wake up when they want, sleep when they want, no routine, no drive, minimal effort. Granted, you have to sacrifice more from with the wealth perspective. Maybe time, money, energy. The poverty mindset just requires you to give minimal effort and much less sacrifice. Once again, I’m not saying anything about character, I’m saying from a poverty vs wealth mentality. Thats it. So when I compare the two, I know which mentality I want to have. We have to decide which one we want and stick to it. We can’t want this one but embody the other. If you’re double minded, you’ll drive yourself nuts. Your decisions need to match your mindset and vice versa. Your mindset needs to match your decision making. You’ll go insane if they’re not parallel. So let both your decision and mindset be congruent. Not one or the other.

Whatever class you’re in, let’s aim for better. Not only financially, but our mentality as well. Once again, the amount of money in the bank does not determine if you’re wealthy or not. It’s simply how you think. Nothing more, nothing less.

Process

  1. Figure out what class mentally you’re in.
  2. Figure out if you want to stay there or not. If not, pray to God for help in an increase in mentality.
  3. Get around people who want the same goals as you.
