Wealth

What is wealth? What’s in the account? What resources we have? Not necessarily. I used to think wealth was simply how many assets you have, rather liquid, real estate, etc. I’m assuming a lot of other people have the same thought. Although you can find your “net worth” with your assets minus liabilities, wealth is more than net worth. My name is Scotty and welcome to the 35th blog post here on the Limitless Living Blog. Thanks for tuning in.

Wealth is multiple things, but simply put, it’s a mindset. Wealth is how you think. With your character, humility, etc. I believe you can have an enormous net worth, yet not be wealthy. Wealth, in this perspective, involves character, good motives, a giving heart, and more. Do not diminish wealth to the point where it’s shallow with money alone. Wealth from a Godly mindset involves all of these things. Now, if you have money and resources to combine with good character, good motives, and a giving heart, then you’ll be able to bless many people. Bless not only people but your family, your church, your friends. But if you have a lot of money with no character, bad motives, and a greedy heart, you’ll find yourself lost. You’ll have a limited dopamine hit with a certain amount of money or things you buy with money. Soon after, it’ll fade. That’s why we in the business/economic realm or the people that want to be successful financially, need to be grounded in God. We need a solid foundation to handle a certain amount of net worth. 

To be honest, the easy part is making money. Money is everywhere, and if we stop limiting our gifts and talents, money is easy to obtain. The hard part is having the right motives with money. So before we try to obtain wealth financially, we need to become wealthy physically, emotionally, and mentally. Wealthy is tough to get to, because we are human, but with God, all things are possible. So check your character, motives, and heart before thinking about money.
