Gift
Giving a gift leads to much joy. The definition of gift is: “a thing given willingly to someone without payment; a present.” Look at the highlighted term, willingly. That’s the heart behind the gift, not the gift itself. So we have to have a heart to give. Not just tip our waiters at restaurants or give a gift at Christmas, because we’re supposed to. Nothing wrong with either of those, but the heart behind it, makes it a true gift. We need true love in our hearts. My name is Scotty and this is the Limitless Living Blog. Thanks for tuning in.
Giving allows you to become less stingy. I’ve personally experienced it. Stinginess and greed will hold you hostage. Giving frees that. Having love in your heart frees you. Love and giving goes hand and hand. Jesus was a giver. Jesus tells us to give. He wants us to. So give what you can. If you don’t have much, give what you can. If you have been blessed with a lot, give a lot. Have a heart to give freely, without payment or return.
Process:
- Become a giver, not a taker.
- Find out who/where to give to, where your gift matters.
- Give glory to God.
