Goal Oriented
Zig Ziglar once said: "If you aim at nothing, you will hit it every time"
So accurate and true. My wife even had a conversation with me today, hence why I am writing about setting goals. My name is Scotty and welcome to the 107th blog post here on the Limitless Living Blog. Thanks for tuning in.
My wife said that when I set personal goals for myself and our family, I work harder. In her words, “I always make it happen.” I notice, as well as she, that when I don’t set goals, I’m not as focused as I should be. Very true and humbling. So we have to set both realistic and big/almost impossible goals. Both at the same time, not one or the other. Why? Because small goals will give us momentum when we achieve them, as well as not discourage us when we don’t always have to look at super big goals. The bigger goals are to reach for your absolute best. You may not obtain these goals, but they’re meant to be almost unreachable. Why? I heard someone say that if you’re realistically wanting to make $100,000, aim to make $300,000. Why’s that? Because if you aim to make $300,000 you might overachieve on your initial $100,000 goal. Meaning you had more in the tank to give to your goals, but cut yourself short only aiming for $100,000.
So set small goals for the short term, and bigger goals for the long term. We all need to be locked in and focused. Quiet is kept, a lot of us want to achieve big things, but aren’t focused enough to get it done. Goals help tremendously. Just ask your wife.
